Recent media updates on our Flexibility and Innovation in Apprenticeship Technical Training (FIATT) pilot project were positively received. As we worked with students in our project, we were mindful of the fact that there are different measures of success. For some, it might be their very participation in a post-secondary program. As a way to understand the experiences of our students through their own unique lens, we incorporated a PhotoVoice project. This involved providing students with a camera that they used to document their experiences. We then met with them to learn why they chose the specific images and recorded the narrative. View the video with some of the highlights of our project here and read the Canadian Apprenticeship Forum Journal article (p40) here to learn about the student perspectives.
